Kenya National Trading Corporation Sales and Marketing Manager Jobs


Responsibilities

  • Lead the Sales team in devising and implementing the weekly action plans and strategies
  • Provide performance feedback for Sales and Marketing Staff
  • Oversee market research on new products, potential suppliers and regional market trends to inform the sales and marketing strategies
  • Lead the prospecting for new customers and suppliers and organize meeting with prospects
  • Commission market research and advise on the sales opportunities and pattern to facilitate the proportioning of goods supplied to certain regions by ensuring that the demand and consumption patterns are considered
  • Provide insights on competitor activities as well as daily prices of goods
  • Coordinate sales activities through monitoring performance and facilitating any necessary support
  • Negotiate sales contracts and partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Ensure the implementation of sales schedules and policies
  • Ensure effective facilitation of stock transfers to depots and across depots
  • Analyze weekly sales data from the depots

    Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Commerce of (Sales and Marketing) or Business Administration (Marketing)
  • Masters Degree Marketing Option
  • Certification from Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)
  • Membership to Marketing Society of Kenya
  • At least eight (8) years experience in Sales or Merchandising in a busy FMCG environment with at least (3) years at senior management level.

    Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an integrated and supportable procurement plan, strategies and procedures.
  • Plan and manage all activities involved in sourcing suppliers, procurement, quality assurance, financial, logistics and warehouse management activities.
  • Manage competitive acquisition of goods and services for trading purposes, Execution of contracts, updating and maintaining vendor database.
  • Build effective and structured relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Manage, monitor and develop departmental staff through training, appraisals for optimal staff performance.
  • Create appropriate relationships with representatives of customers, suppliers and other relevant external bodies.
  • Ensure that the supply chain information is communicated clearly to internal and external customers.
  • Oversee the preparation and development of departmental budget.
  • Preparation and implementation of the budget and Annual Procurement and Asset Disposal Plans
  • Preparation of the procurement plan
    Approve and monitor departmental expenditure.
  • Preparation of LPOs and LSOs

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing & Supplies Management.
  • Membership to KISM
  • At least (7) years of experience in Purchasing & Supplies management with at least (3) years of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of Procurement and Disposal Act & Regulations of Kenya
  • IT proficiency

    Responsibilities

  • Manage operations of audit department to ensure achievement of set objectives and goals.
  • Prepare and manage annual work plan and budget for audit department
  • Risk facilitator for the organization
    Act as the Secretary to audit committee
  • Review and advising the management on adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls
  • Reviews systems established to ensure compliance with policies, plans, procedures, statutory requirements and regulations
  • Review means of safeguarding assets and verify existence of assets.
  • Review operations, programmes and projects to ascertain whether results are consistent with established objectives and goals and whether operations are being carried out as planned.
  • Advise management on effective cost control and revenue maximization measures.
  • Advise management on external audit queries
    Developing and reviewing audit manuals.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Commerce/Finance/Accounting/Economics
  • Professional Accounting qualifications (CPA (K) or ACCA (UK)
    Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
  • At least eight (8) years experience in Auditing practice with at least three (3) years supervisory experience
  • Knowledge in IFRSs, ISAs and IASs
  • Budgeting and Financial Management skills

    Responsibilities

  • Formulate, review and oversee the implementation of the KNTC ICT strategy, policies and procedures
  • Oversee the evaluation, consolidation and facilitating the user needs and system functionality and ensuring that ICT facilities meet these needs
  • Mentor and train new ICT support staff;
  • Develop and implement system administration plans in accordance with the Corporation’s information technology needs
  • Plan, develop and implement the ICT budget, obtaining competitive prices from suppliers where appropriate, to ensure cost effectiveness
  • Manage network and communication systems performance and recommending continuous improvement
  • Manage backups and appropriate storage
  • Manage database and network administration and systemsResearch and facilitating the installation of new systems
  • Oversee the development and/or acquisition of relevant software
  • Ensure the smooth running of all ICT systems, including anti-virus software, print services and email provision
  • Ensure that software licensing laws are adhered to

    Qualifications

  • A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or a relevant degree
  • CCNA, MCSE, LAN/WAN Certifications among other ICT Certifications
  • At least five (5) years experience in ICT field with at least one (1) year at supervisory level
  • Specialized IT knowledge
  • Analytical skills

    Responsibilities

  • Coordinate staff appraisal process within the Corporation
  • Participate in the recruitment exercise within the Corporation
  • Liaise with the Legal department is addressing staff welfare issues with significant legal implications
  • Initiate review of and implementation of various policies and manuals related to staff development, remuneration and reward, staff welfare, resourcing, administration, resources/facilities management
  • Continually assist department heads and others staff in interpreting relevant internal and external
