Kenya Mortgage Refinance Company Accountant Jobs;Provide effective legal services including contract preparation and review, security perfection, litigation support, legal advisory services, and board secretarial support.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare agreements, contracts, and legal documents in a timely manner

  • Ensure proper perfection of securities and maintenance of collaterals

  • Vet property legal reports and advise on stamp duties, registration, and due diligence

  • Support Company Secretary in board functions (papers, logs, correspondence)

  • Maintain custody of confidential records (physical and electronic)

  • Review and resolve complaints/claims on collateral, loan agreements, and disputes

  • Draft and review contracts, SLAs, MoUs, leases, and legal documents for compliance

  • Follow up on renewals or termination of agreements

  • Liaise with external lawyers on assigned tasks

  • Provide legal opinions and corporate advisory services

  • Coordinate Legal & Compliance Audits and reviews

  • Identify, assess, and monitor legal risks

  • Manage litigation and review progress of outstanding cases

  • Provide legal training and disseminate requirements to staff

    Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB)

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies (Council of Legal Education, Kenya)

  • Membership to LSK with valid practicing certificate

  • Advocate of the High Court of Kenya

  • Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in legal practice

  • CPS(K) certification and ICPSK membership (advantage)

  • Knowledge of conveyancing, security perfection, and regulatory requirements

  • Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills

  • Integrity, ethical practice, and effective communication skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office packages

    Accountant

    Purpose of the Job

    Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, process
    transactions, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and maintain effective financial controls to support KMRC’s strategic objectives.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger; investigate and reconcile variances

  • Maintain accounting records in ERP system

  • Process journal entries with proper account coding

  • Process bank transactions and perform reconciliations

  • Verify supplier invoices and process payments

  • Maintain accounts payable and receivable records

  • Maintain fixed assets register

  • Provide information for internal and external audits

  • Prepare and submit statutory returns; ensure compliance with KRA requirements

  • Assist in preparation of financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual) in line with IFRS

  • Accurate, timely financial reporting

  • Compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements

  • Maintenance of accurate accounting records

  • Enforcement of internal controls and compliance with finance policies

  • Facilitation of audits and resolution of findings

    Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a comparable position

  • CPA(K) certification and ICPAK membership

  • Knowledge of IFRS relevant to financial institutions

  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills

  • Team player with good organizational ability
