The Kenya Medical Women's Association (KMWA) is a membership organization for female doctors and dentists in Kenya.

It is a non governmental organization registered in 1983.

Our mission is to champion for the improved health and dignity of society, particularl; women, girls and vulnerable groups.

We work to advance health innovations, research and policies that address health inequalities and contribute to socio-economic development.

We inspire and mentor young women to undertake and advance in health leadership at national and global arena. We are looking for organized, highly motivated and results oriented individuals to join a dynamic team and help uplift the health status of women, adolescents, children and vulnerable groups in Kenya in the various opportunities listed below.

Programme Officer - Ref. No: PO 4926
Purpose of Job:-

  • To lead the programme portfolio that develops and oversees all of KMWA's projects and programmes.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:-
  • Building relationships with strategic partners/Securing project funding from institutional funders/partners
  • Management of projects/programmes and contracts relating to programmes
  • Monitoring and evaluation and reporting on programmes
  • Sharing programme impact and lessons
  • Programme policy development

    Qualifications and Competencies:-
  • The ideal candidate should have a university degree
    in business administration, political science, social or development studies,
  • Project management or related field;
  • A masters' degree is desirable and is an added advantage.
  • At least 5 years' expenence, and knowledge in proposal writing and donor funded project implementation.
  • The candidate should have excellent wetter oral communication skills, good IT skills and proposal writing.
  • The candidate should demonstrate maturity, courtesy, team-work and ability to work under minimal supervision.
