Key Duties & Responsibilities

Duties at this level will include:

  • Documenting patient history and diagnosis.

  • Examining the patient/client to determine the cause and level of disability.

  • Prescribing, fabricating, and assembling prosthetic/orthotic devices.

  • Preparing and fitting prosthetic and orthotic devices.

  • Advising patients/clients on the importance of mobility and immobilization devices.

  • Screening patients/clients for conditions that require rehabilitative services.

  • Verifying and maintaining information relating to patients.

  • Maintaining records of supplies.

    Person Specification

    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

  • Diploma in Orthopaedic Technology or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

  • Must be registered with the National Association of Orthopedics of Kenya.

  • Proficiency in computer applications.
