Key Duties & Responsibilities

Duties at this level will include:

  • Seeing and examining patients.

  • Diagnosing and treating ailments.

  • Providing clinical outreach and school health services.

  • Sensitising patients and clients on preventive and promotive health.

  • Giving support and health education to the community and patients.

  • Implementing health care activities in liaison with other health workers.

  • Carrying out surgical procedures as per training and skills.

  • Collecting and compiling clinical data.

  • Assessing, preparing, and presenting medical leave reports.

  • Referring patients to appropriate health care facilities.

    Person Specification

    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Surgery, Clinical Medicine, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

  • Been registered with the Clinical Officers Council.

  • Valid practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council.
