Kenya Medical Research Clinical Officer Jobs in Kenya;Responsible for screening, enrolling and managing study participants, administering investigational products, conducting examinations, reporting side effects, and ensuring adherence to ethical standards and study protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screen, consent and enroll study participants per eligibility criteria.

  • Conduct baseline and follow‑up physical examinations; provide routine clinical care including ward rounds.

  • Safely administer investigational product per protocol.

  • Diagnose/manage incidental illnesses; monitor, document and report side effects.

  • Make clinical decisions on admission, continued care or referral.

  • Review study questionnaires for accuracy and consistency.

  • Prepare/present weekly and monthly clinic activity reports.

  • Track participant visits and ensure proper attendance.

  • Collect, label and track biological specimens; ensure timely lab delivery.

  • Conduct verbal autopsies for community deaths outside facility.

  • Manage stock and inventory at study site.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Vacancy Requirements

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Surgery (Mandatory).

  • At least 3 years’ experience in clinical research or busy clinic setting (Mandatory).

  • Registration certificate and valid practicing license (Mandatory).

  • Experience in clinical trials (Added Advantage).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom and email tools (Mandatory).

  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in fast‑paced environment (Mandatory).

  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams (Mandatory).
