Kenya Institute of Special Education Physiotherapist Jobs



Kenya Institute of Special Education Physiotherapist Jobs; The Physiotherapist will provide therapeutic interventions and disability assessments at inpatient and outpatient units, ensuring quality rehabilitation services. The role involves patient education, home visits, and maintaining accurate records while supporting the Institute’s mission of inclusive healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

Therapeutic Services

  • Screen, assess, and provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, electrotherapy, and hydrotherapy interventions per treatment plans.

  • Carry out physical disability assessments for categorization, registration, and support.

    Patient Support & Education

  • Verify and maintain patient information and records.

  • Provide education to patients and relatives within the Institute.

  • Conduct home visits and follow up on patient progress.

    Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure adherence to professional standards and institutional policies.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and interventions.

    Qualifications / Work Experience

  • Registered and licensed with the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (Mandatory).

  • Member of the Physiotherapists Association of Kenya (Mandatory).

  • Diploma in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or equivalent qualification (Mandatory).

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in orthopedic, neurological, and surgical settings (Mandatory).

    Skills & Competencies

  • Strong clinical assessment and rehabilitation skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Commitment to patient care and professional ethics.
