Kenya Institute of Special Education Paramedic Driver Jobs; The Paramedic Driver will provide safe and efficient patient transport services while supporting clinical teams during emergency and inter‑facility transfers. The role involves vehicle operation, patient handling, and assisting with life‑saving interventions under medical supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Operation & Safety

  • Drive vehicles as authorized and maintain proper mechanical condition.

  • Keep updated work tickets and submit regular vehicle reports.

  • Clean assigned vehicles and ensure security of passengers and vehicle.

  • Adhere to traffic laws and report incidents promptly to police and office.

  • Detect common mechanical faults and ensure timely repairs.

    Emergency Support

  • Assist clinical teams during emergency and inter‑facility patient transfers.

  • Safely load and offload patients.

  • Support life‑saving interventions under medical staff direction.

    Qualifications / Work Experience

  • KCSE Mean Grade D+ or equivalent (Mandatory).

  • Valid Driving License Class D1, D2 free from endorsements (Mandatory).

  • First Aid Certificate Course (Mandatory).

  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Mandatory).

  • Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification (Mandatory).

  • Minimum 3 years’ cumulative work experience as Driver III or equivalent (Mandatory).

  • Passed Occupational Trade Test III for Drivers (Mandatory).

    Skills & Competencies

  • Strong safety awareness and emergency response skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.

  • Commitment to patient care and professional ethics.
