Kenya Institute of Primate Research Deputy Director Finance and Accounts Jobs in Kenya
For appointment to this grade, an Officer MUST have: At least eight (8) years relevant work experience;
Diploma in any of the following fields: Medical Laboratory Sciences, Laboratory Sciences, Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
Registration Certificate issued by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB) where applicable;
Valid practicing license from Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board where applicable;
Proficiency in computer applications;
Demonstrated work performance and results;#
Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

Duties and responsibilities
Implementing laboratory standards and procedures;
Supervising and guiding laboratory technicians, interns and students;
Collecting, receiving, processing and storing of sample to ensure integrity for future use;
Maintaining laboratory equipment for smooth running of the procedures;
Ensuring clean and safe working environment to avoid contamination of final products;
Designing and develop the necessary laboratory infrastructure needed for biobanking
Performing biobanking activities
Preparing and storing laboratory reagents;
Maintain records of tests and samples;
Supporting field research activities
Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements and licensure;
Performing analytical and diagnostic procedures in the laboratory to contribute to efficiency in service delivery;
ensuring that all laboratory waste is disinfected and disposed appropriately
to avoid environmental contamination.
