Kenya Institute of Mass Communication Electrical/Electronic Technician III Jobs; This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the supervision of a senior officer.

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:-

Undertaking electrical works;

Offering technical support for studio-based training;

Maintain lighting, sound and projectors in theatres and studios;

Ensuring the observance of electrical precautions to minimize accidents at the workplace;

Testing the functionality of equipment before commissioning;

Monitor the Institute's broadcasting facilities to ensure they are functioning as required; (vii) Determine equipment specifications for television and radio studios, animation and computer labs to facilitate procurement of appropriate equipment for use;

Preparing work schedules for installation and maintenance of equipment; and

Drafting maintenance reports.

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Engineering or equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution; and
Certificate in computer application skills.

Terms of Service

The successful candidate will be on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service. The Minimum basic salary for this position will range from Kshs. 36,444 Kshs. 48,935/- per month exclusive of allowances.
