Kenya Institute of Mass Communication Assistant Office Administrator Jobs; This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer.

Duties and responsibilities will entail:

Taking oral dictation;

Word and data processing;

Managing e-office;

Handling telephone calls and appointments;

Ensuring security of office records, documents and equipment;

Maintaining an up to date filing system in the office;

Operating office equipment;

Managing office protocol;

Managing office petty cash; and

Handling telephone calls and appointments.

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

Diploma in Secretarial Studies from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
OR

Business Education Single and Group Certificates (BES & GC) Stages I, II and III from the Kenya National Examinations Council in the following subjects:

Typewriting III (Minimum 50 w.p.m.)/Computerized Document Processing III;

Shorthand II (80 w.p.m);

Business English II/ Communications 1;

Secretarial Duties II;

Commerce II;

Office Management III/Office Administration and Management III;

Certificate in computer application skills
