Kenya Institute of Mass Communication Accountant Jobs
Job Description This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer.
Duties and responsibilities will entail:
Collation of financial estimates;
Verifying returns and vouchers;
Manage petty cash, cash books, ledgers, imprest warrants;
General accounting work involving book-keeping and routine accounting entries;
Control of expenditure and below-the-line accounting;
Collecting of revenue; and
Safekeeping of Accountable Documents.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:
Bachelors degree in any of the following fields: - Commerce (Accounting option), Forensic Accounting, Economics, Business Administration (Accounting option), Business Management (Accounting option), or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution; and
Certificate in computer application skills
Terms of Service
The successful candidate will be on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service. The Minimum basic salary for this position will range from Kshs. 42,636 Kshs. 58,938/= per month exclusive of allowances.
