Introduction

Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) was established in 1954 as a premier institute that provides management consultancy and capacity building services to corporate organizations and other institutions. The institute has embarked on an aggressive expansion and growth programme in line with its strategic plan 2017-2020.(2017 – 2021) To deliver this mandate KIM has recently concluded a reorganization and seeks to fill the position of Strategy and Development Officer

Responsibilities

  • Support research and data analysis that will inform KIM’s strategy on product development, product improvement, strategic direction and decisions, solutions to management problems by conducting business intelligence, in-house big-data analysis, feasibility studies, new product research and market analysis.
  • Participate in the development and review of the Institute’s strategy and Objectives.
  • Conduct internal research to assess this Institute’s progress in achieving the set strategy and Objectives.
  • Carry out semi-annual external research to compare the Institutes performance with other peer organizations.
  • Develop monthly Business Intelligence reports to inform the SBUs on market trends.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics or any related field
  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience

    Responsibilities

  • Identification of Training needs for individuals and organisations & propose training programmes based on the needs established.
  • Development/design, market and coordinate Training programmes.
  • Co-ordinate training & consultancy programmes – venues, materials and resource requirements.
  • Prepare, present and follow up proposals upon studying requests for proposal (RFPs).
  • Develop and maintain client relationships with emphasis on high value/high potential clients.
  • Responsible for sourcing of training venue in liaison with the procurement department.
  • Coordinate the entire project process cycle and activities including project site visits to ensure implementation of all activities in line with the client requirement.
  • Prepare monthly reports on training & consultancy.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Education, Business, Social Science or related field from a recognised institution
  • Three (3) years’ experience

    Kenya Institute of Management Branch Manager - Medium Branch Jobs Vacancies

    Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the overall running and operations of the branch
  • Marketing the Institutes’ product and services
  • Providing all the institute services to members and clients
  • Supervising staff and faculty at the branch to ensure achievement of the set revenue targets
  • Communicating customer needs to the relevant department within the institute
  • Being the custodian of branch resources and ensure that they are properly utilized
  • Preparing periodical reports on branch progress such as revenue collection, students’ number, Marketing activities and membership
  • Representing the senior management at the branch and communicating decisions made at the institute to branch
  • Approving imprest for the branch operations and photocopy services
  • Responsible for student welfare to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Chairing the students’ welfare committee
  • Overseeing the institute exams process in branch to ensure timeliness and integrity of the process
  • Overseeing admission, progression and retention of students to all KIMs programs
  • Ensuring timely renewal and acquisition of branch licenses and permits
  • Ensuring timely payment of branch bills such as water bill
  • Responsible for final decision making at the branch level and escalate any issue beyond the jurisdiction

    Qualifications

  • Must have at least six years’ experience in a large organisation in an active commercial environment.
  • A Master’s degree in relevant field from a recognised institution
  • Membership to relevant bodies such as IHRM, ICPAK

    Responsibilities

  • Providing oversight of the overall running and operations of the branch
  • Marketing the Institutes’ product and services
  • Supervising staff and faculty to ensure achievement of the set revenue targets
  • Ensuring that KIM members and clients get timely and quality services for customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for planning and implementing branch strategies,recruitment of students to institute’s School of Management and certification courses and other programs to be able meet the targets in terms of students’ number and fee collections
  • Handling all inquiries on the institute services and communicating customer needs
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly reports on progress achieved and challenges encountered and financial reports covering all the activities of the branch
  • In charge of all the resources in the branch including finances and assets to ensure proper utilization
  • Representing the branch at the management level and vice versa to report on the progress of the branch on achievements
  • Actively seek to convert leads generated into clients through constant follow up
  • Implementing management decisions and institutes policies at the branch level
  • Managing the branch staff welfare to ensure staff motivation and inclusivity
  • Recruiting new members to KIM through processing applications and forwarding to the membership

    Qualifications

  • Must have at least five years’ experience in a large organisation in an active commercial environment
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in relevant field from a recognised institution

    Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall management of OPI Business Excellence Model and Company of the Year Awards (COYA) and SME of the Year Awards in promoting business excellence.
  • Recruit and supervise OPI assessors/consultants to ensure value is delivered to organizations participating in OPI/COYA.
  • Identify and forge strategic partnerships to support SMEs in implementation of business excellence.
  • Partner with OPI Technical Committee to ensure good governance of the OPI process.
  • Market and recruit organizations to participate in the OPI business excellence model.
  • Actively source sponsorship from organizations as per the projected income to fund the activities of the COYA program.
  • Draw and implement an annual budget for the awards and monitor proper usage of the resources.
  • Plan and execute OPI champions training for participating organizations.
  • Guide organizations in self- assessment to ensure successful completion of the OPI process.
  • Organize and follow through on OPI feedback report presentation to participating companies.
  • Facilitate implementation of Technical Assistance and Advisory Services interventions given to OPI companies from KIM and partners.
  • Design and execute plans that support the broader OPI marketing strategy.
  • Manage the OPI brand in the region and ensuring it lives up to its promise with top of the mind awareness.

    Qualifications

  • At least five years’ experience in a large organization in an active commercial environment.
  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
