Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in the development and review of business growth strategy for branches and guide implementation.
  • Drive achievement of the set revenue targets as per the overall business strategy and yearly targets set to ensure profitability.
  • Prepare and monitor the branch operational budget plans by overseeing their growth and monitoring their performance.
  • Provide oversight in the provision of KIMSOM products, Membership and business solutions services in branches to ensure achievement of set revenue targets and business growth.
  • Set budgets and revenue targets for the regions, and participate in the development of plans and tactics on how to achieve them to ensure close monitoring of cost.
  • Increase penetration into the target customer segments through introduction of new programs and opening of new branches where there is potential.
  • Assess the financial needs of all branches and prepare management reports to facilitate decision making by the management.
  • Discuss and re-strategize with Regional Managers for remedial actions.
  • Guide compliance with Group Audit and Legal/Compliance guidelines through review of branch reports.
  • Responsible for consolidating staff needs as reported by regional managers and facilitate recruitment, training and development to enhance quality and maximum productivity and maintain a motivating work environment for all the branches that focuses on performance.

    Qualifications

  • A Master’s Degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
  • At least eight (8) years’ of relevant work experience in a large organization with at least three (3) years leading a Function in an active commercial environment.

    Responsibilities

  • Formulate strategies and objectives to support implementation of competitive training, consultancy and OPI services in line with the institute vision and mission.
  • Oversee the training cycle for open and in house programs that covers the needs assessment process design, marketing, implementation and evaluation of the programs.
  • Prepare competitive consultancy and training proposals and bids to ensure the targeted number of programs are conducted.
  • Plan and oversee implementation of new business emanating from training, consultancy and OPI assignments.
  • Design and implement an effective monitoring and evaluation assessment system for the duration with a view to improve service delivery to the client.
  • Develop methodologies to access market opportunities and the viability of business, analyze and interpret data to identify patterns and solutions.
  • Undertake market and business development activities to create new revenue channels for the department and institution
  • Facilitate the preparation of annual departmental budget and oversee its overall realization.

    Qualifications

  • A Master's Degree in Business Administration from a recognized institution

    Kenya Institute of Management Head of Finance Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the executive team to provide strategic leadership in all financial matters.
  • Oversee the control of the finance function to ensure smooth operation of the departments.
  • Formulate financial targets and budgets in accordance to the strategy determined by the council and monthly review of the same with budget holders
  • Responsible for management of
    the capital expenditure budget to ensure high rate of return in investment.
  • Oversee treasury management to optimize cash flow and working capital.
  • Lead the negotiation of all financial contracts on behalf of the institute to get the best value in money.
  • Responsible for continuous review of internal control and ensure adherence to mitigate any risks that may arise.
  • Ensure the institution complies with the statutory requirement like Tax, NHIF, NSSF and audits to avoid penalties from regulators.
  • Secretary to the finance and investment committee of the council responsible for taking meetings.
  • Oversee implementation of council resolution in finance department to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare the institute’s staff payroll and ensure confidentiality and timely payment of the staff.
  • Serve as the first signatory of all institute bank’s accounts to ensure accuracy of all payments before the final signatory.
  • Develop and train staff to ensure proper succession planning and availability of optimum skills.

    Qualifications

  • A Master's Degree in a Business field from a recognized institution
  • At least ten (10) years’ experience in a large organization with at least three (3) years leading a function in an active commercial environment.
  • Be a CPA finalist and a registered Member of ICPAK

    Responsibilities

  • Lead and be accountable for setting and advancing the academic strategy of the School of Management in line with Faculties and the Institute’s strategic plans and direction.
  • Develop and sustain appropriate structures for management, consultation, decision-making and communication with staff and students across KIM School of Management.
  • Oversee KIM School Curriculum development and implementation through the development of distinct market driven professional programs.
  • Develop and implement a crosscutting quality management framework across the institute and ensure it meets the International standards.
  • Review and Implement KIM Examination Policies and Procedures and ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Oversee the development, administration and execution of examination to ensure quality and integrity examination processes in regard to KIM’s standards.
  • Monitor the students’ satisfaction index and provide the required feedback for conversion to concrete action plans.
  • Set up systems for quality assurance management in the Institute through monitoring quality in the development of education management programs.
  • Co-ordinate overall leadership provision of library and information services across the KIM network of libraries through the mobilization of financial, technical and professional human resources.
  • Develop policies and procedure manuals and coordinate internal training of staff to understand and implement them.
