Introduction

Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) was established in 1954 as a premier institute that provides management consultancy and capacity building services to corporate organizations and other institutions. The institute has embarked on an aggressive expansion and growth programme in line with its strategic plan 2017-2020.(2017 – 2021) To deliver this mandate KIM has recently concluded a reorganization and seeks to fill the following position of Librarian - Regional Branch

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating library activities
  • Managing the library resources including the stock list, assets and books at regional level
  • Overseeing the day to day running of the library
  • Managing the library staff in the assigned region
  • Manage the library budget to ensure equitable allocation of resources
  • Coordinate selection of information resources for branches within the region
  • Develop and oversee implementation of plans for enhancing information literacy skills
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to create understanding and awareness of the library for branches within the region

    Qualifications

  • Must have at least four years’ experience in a large organisation in an active commercial environment
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognised institution.

    Kenya Institute of Management Learning and Admission-Research and Attachment Officer Employment

    Responsibilities

  • Coordinating research projects and attachment functions to increase the successful completion rate of KIM’s Students
  • Allocating supervisors to Diploma students per semester
  • Mobilizing diploma students to complete research project in time
  • Timely issuance of data collection letters to students after successfully completion and submission of the proposal
  • Maintaining a database of qualified research and attachments supervisors as per the area of supervision - Maintaining rules governing supervision
  • Compiling and submitting to Examinations department at KIMSOM details of candidates who have completed the course requirements
  • Handling all graduation matters for the branch
  • Overseeing the preparation and approval of supervisors claims for Research and attachment
  • Responding to all queries on research projects & attachment Department
  • Undertaking customer satisfaction surveys every semester to gauge satisfaction levels of clients
  • Participating in student admission and proper class organization
  • Creating and promoting linkages with organizations to offer attachments
    to students
  • Overseeing records and filling of correspondence, score sheet lists, attachment logbooks and reports to inform future decision making

    Qualifications

  • Must have at least five years’ experience in a large organisation in an active commercial environment. - -
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in relevant field from a recognised institution.

    Kenya Institute of Management Human Resource Business Partner Employment

    Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the human resources functions related to resourcing
  • Developing and implementing HR strategic plan in line with the institute overall strategy
  • Leading the recruitment of all staff, selection and placement including that of consultants and lecturers
  • Developing and implementing Learning and development programs
  • Implementing the institute performance management policy
  • Maintaining sound industrial relations and speedy resolution of individual and collective grievances
  • Overseeing staff insurance policies including medical schemes and follow up of claims arising thereof
  • Supervising the development and implementation of staff welfare strategy
  • Facilitating internal and external audits and ensure compliance with all health safety and environment standards in line with health and safety Act
  • Monthly checking through payroll before approval by the Executive director
  • Approving payment of casual staff to ensure accuracy of the payment amounts and days worked
  • Coordinating weekly and monthly staff sharing forums to ensure sharing of information regarding the Institute's current state of affairs

    Qualifications

  • At least six years’ experience in a large organisation in an active commercial environment.
  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field from a recognised institution
  • A member to a relevant professional body
