Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development Principal Corporate Communications Officer Jobs

The Principal Corporate Communications Officer will report to the Senior Deputy Director Corporate Services.

Duties and Responsibilities

Implementing communication policies, system and procedures;

Provide interface between the institute and other stakeholders;

Initiating and developing appropriate communication strategies;

Coordinate preparation of publication materials;

Maintain media database;

Prepare annual plans and budgets;

Maintain mailing list of all stakeholders;

Ensuring customer satisfaction;

Manage linkages with other stakeholders; and

Organize protocol and media events.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

Served as a Senior Corporate Communications Officer, KICD Grade 6 or in a comparable position for a minimum period of three (3) years;

Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Journalism; Mass Communication; Public Relations or Marketing; Communication and Media or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

Membership to the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK) or its equivalent;

Computer literacy;

Demonstrated professional and managerial competence in information work as reflected in work performance and results.

Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
