Kenya High Commission in London Driver of the Deputy Head of Mission Jobs


The Driver shall under the direction and control of the Deputy Head of Mission/Head of Chancery in coordination with the Transport Officer perform the following duties and responsibilities:

• Serve as the Driver to the Head of Chancery by facilitating his movements through the United Kingdom by taking him to various meetings he/she is attending.

• Ensure that the car is cleaned and well maintained.

• Deliver mails and other communication on behalf of the Head of Chancery and any other officer to their respective destination.

• Ensure the car is maintained to the acceptable UK standards to include timely servicing, MOT

• Timely report any vehicle defects to the Head of Chancery

• Ensure that the car work tickets are duly authorised and completed.

• Management and ensure safe custody of the Extra keys for representation car.

• Management and ensure safe custody of the representation car fuel cards in close liaison with the Head of Chancery.

• Perform any other duties as directed by the Head of Mission or any responsible officer.

Qualification/Requirements

• KCSE C- certificate/ Equivalent GCSE certification

• Valid and clean Driving license category B

• Recommendation for exemplary work performance

• Two (2) years driving experience in the UK.

• Versatility and basic knowledge of ICT is
added advantage

  • The positions are for a duration of twenty three (23) months, and the successful applicants will be subject to Kenya High Commission Terms and Conditions of Service, as well as applicable UK laws and regulations.
