Kenya Government Deputy Director - Adult Education Jobs


Responsibilities

  • Initiating formulation, implementation and review of policies , guidelines and procedures for ACE;
  • Developing performance improvement strategies that are adaptive to the changing environment;
  • Planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, controlling and budgeting for ACE activities;
  • Coordinating the development, review and production of teaching/learning materials in liaison with relevant stakeholders and providers;
  • Implementation of Quality Standards in line with ISO requirements;
  • Mobilizing resources for ACE programmes and projects;
  • Providing guidance on performance management, evaluation and development of staff;
  • Monitoring the implementation and impact of programmes, policies and procedures

    Qualifications

  • Served for a minimum period of fifteen (15) years, three (3) of which should have been in the grade of Assistant Director of Adult and Continuing Education, Job Group ‘P’ and above or in a comparable and relevant position in the public service;
  • Bachelors degree in either Adult Education or Education from a university recognized in Kenya;
  • Masters degree in either Adult Education or Education from a university recognized in Kenya; OR A Masters degree in Arts or Science from a recognized university;
  • Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks, or equivalent course from a recognized institution;
  • Demonstrated professional competency and administrative and managerial capability for effective administration of Adult and Continuing Education (APBET/ACE) programmes/projects.

    Responsibilities

  • Formulating and reviewing livestock training policies
  • Facilitating development, implementation and review of the curriculum;
  • Liaising with stakeholders and development partners for effective development and implementation of the training programmes; and

    Qualifications

  • Served for a minimum period of three (3) years in the grade of Senior Deputy Principal, Job Group ‘R’ or in a comparable and relevant position in the public service;

  • Demonstrated managerial, administrative and professional competence in work performance and exhibited a thorough understanding of national goals, policies, objectives and ability to relate them to livestock personnel trainers function

    Responsibilities

  • Initiating action on the review of policy issues in livestock training; (ii) interpreting and implementing government manpower training policies;

  • Masters degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Statistics, Demography, Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics or equivalent and relevant qualifications from a university recognized in Kenya ;
  • Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks or equivalent course from a recognized institution;
  • Demonstrated a high degree of administrative ability and leadership.
