Kenya Forest Service Information Communications Technology Officer Jobs


Entry Requirements

  • Three (3) years relevant work experience at the grade of ICT Officer II or comparable position

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Informatics, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Security & Forensics, Business IT, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results

    Additional Information

  • Undertake systems development (analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment)

  • Develop and customize reports for system applications

  • Support and maintain developed system applications

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer applications on ICT equipment

  • Provide end‑user support and train users on ICT facilities and systems

  • Repair and maintain ICT equipment and peripherals

  • Prepare hardware specifications for ICT equipment

  • Verify, validate, and certify new ICT equipment

  • Maintain up‑to‑date ICT equipment inventory and issuance register

  • Install, configure, maintain, and monitor LAN components

  • Administer and manage users in Active Directory, email server, and applications

  • Update and maintain the KFS website

  • Ensure business continuity through regular data and application backups

  • Log problems and document solutions after resolution

  • Prepare preventive maintenance schedules for ICT equipment and software

  • Ensure renewal of applications in line with schedules

  • Promote public values and principles in Public Service

  • Train system users on developed applications

  • Mentor and coach staff to enhance professional growth and performance
