Kenya Electricity Generating Company ICT Officer Intern Jobs

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Plan, design, and implement ICT infrastructure systems ensuring availability, optimization, and security.

  • Provide and maintain ICT network infrastructure including microwave links, VSATs, fibre links, cabled and wireless LAN, and data center.

  • Provide and maintain security, surveillance, and access control systems.

  • Design ICT infrastructure security such as intrusion detection, network access control, and disaster recovery to ensure business continuity.

  • Administer and provide technical support for plant control systems including SCADA, DCS systems, and related applications.

  • Plan and manage systems upgrades, migrations, and enhancements.

  • Ensure periodic maintenance of backend hardware and software systems as per schedule.

  • Maintain up-to-date inventory of all ICT assets.

  • Provide ICT customer service and technical support including user training.

  • Prepare and submit task reports.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

  • Must be prepared to serve anywhere in any of the business areas in Kenya.
