Kenya Electricity Generating Company Hydrologist Intern Jobs



Duties

  • Review and present proposals for new ideas in energy planning studies for marketing.

  • Prepare short and medium-term energy and power output capability plans under various forecasts and scenarios of hydrology.

  • Obtain hydro-meteorological data/information to advise the Company on future hydro-generation.

  • Monitor energy and power output projections/budgets.

  • Oversee collection, storage, and analysis of energy resources.

  • Develop and regularly update the Least Cost Power Development Plan and other National Energy Masterplans, policies, and strategies.

  • Monitor the Company’s interconnected energy production system and the storage levels performance in relation to the Energy Budget projection.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Natural or Water Resources Management, or equivalent from a recognized institution.

  • Must be prepared to serve anywhere in any of the business areas in Kenya.
