Kenya Electricity Generating Company Environment Officer Intern Jobs



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement environmental management plans.

  • Participate in environmental audits and implement recommendations, including Resettlement Action Plans.

  • Maintain a register on compliance with environmental legislation.

  • Provide updates on new environmental conservation developments.

  • Collect scientific data and prepare reports relating to environmental conservation.

  • Prepare conservation reports for the Environmental Management Agency as required.

  • Participate in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) studies.

  • Inspect waste generation and disposal.

  • Adhere to corporate occupational health and safety programs.

  • Undertake CDM auditing and calibration of monitoring equipment to ensure quality control and assurance of data used in monitoring reports.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Studies, Management, Meteorology, Environmental Conservation, or Natural Resource Management, or equivalent.

  • Must be prepared to serve anywhere in any of the business areas in Kenya.
