Kenya Electricity Generating Company Electrical Engineer Jobs



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate, repair, and maintain power plants, instrumentation, power system protection, switchgear, generators, transformers, motors, compressors, workshop equipment, tools, drilling rigs, and building services equipment/systems.

  • Supervise construction, installation, and commissioning of power plants, plant automation, and electrical equipment.

  • Test and calibrate electrical equipment.

  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on maintenance programs, energy generation, project implementation schedules, and equipment performance.

  • Collect data for maintenance, projects, and energy planning.

  • Manage contract administration.

  • Support geothermal wells, steam-field management, and reservoir monitoring.

  • Ensure adherence to quality, occupational health, and safety standards.

    Person Specifications

  • Bachelor of Science/Technology Degree in Electrical and Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized institution and accredited by EBK.

  • Must be prepared to serve anywhere in any of the business areas in Kenya.
