Kenya Electricity Generating Company Economist Intern Jobs
Duties
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve project analysis and tariff-setting models to perform sensitivity and scenario analysis for all power plants.
Test and analyze the impact of tariffs on the Company’s financial model, ensuring that the tariff set adequately covers the Company’s revenue requirements over the forecasted period.
Conduct economic and financial analysis of current and future PPAs, ensuring that the proposed tariffs fully support the Company’s business requirements.
Provide input for new project feasibility studies to ensure that projects have high Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and advise on viability and applicable tariffs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Must be prepared to serve anywhere in any of the business areas in Kenya.
