Kenya Electricity Generating Company Economist Intern Jobs

Duties


  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve project analysis and tariff-setting models to perform sensitivity and scenario analysis for all power plants.

  • Test and analyze the impact of tariffs on the Company’s financial model, ensuring that the tariff set adequately covers the Company’s revenue requirements over the forecasted period.

  • Conduct economic and financial analysis of current and future PPAs, ensuring that the proposed tariffs fully support the Company’s business requirements.

  • Provide input for new project feasibility studies to ensure that projects have high Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and advise on viability and applicable tariffs.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

  • Must be prepared to serve anywhere in any of the business areas in Kenya.
