Job Purpose:

To implement policies and procedures of departmental administration activities for effective and efficient management in line with Institutes mandates and strategic plan.

Requirements:

Bachelor degree in any of the following disciplines: - Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science/Government, Anthropology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

Membership to a relevant professional body where applicable; and

Proficiency in computer application skills.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Liaise with relevant offices for procurement requirements in the unit to ensure adequate provision of supplies;

Facilitate drivers with daily work tickets and ensuring they are duly filled and signed as stipulated so as to ensure completion of tasks and achievement of targets.

Monitoring motor vehicle movement and assigning vehicles to drivers on daily basis;

Facilitate the follow up payments of all bills for common services as directed to ensure quality service delivery in the unit;

Participate diligently in various committees as shall be appointed or tasked from time to time;

Provide an update of the Institute’s assets through inventory to ensure easy location and safety;

Arrange for set-up of the meeting rooms to ensure smooth flow of operations;

Prepare reports on motor vehicles;

Facilitate cleaning of offices; and

Provides input in the development of the annual work plans to ensure completion of tasks and achievement of targets.
