Kenya Animal Genetic Resources Centre Principal Internal Auditor Jobs
Responsibilities
Implement audit strategies, policies and procedures
Periodically review systems and controls to give an opinion on their reliability and effectiveness
Review operations to establish adequacy of manuals, policies and guidelines for smooth operations
Monitor and report on the Centre’s risk profiling, risk appetite, risk registers and risk management
Support various Divisions in risk profiling and mitigation
Ensure adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency in risk management processes in line with the Centre’s mandate
Facilitate development and maintenance of risk registers within the Centre
Evaluate budget processes to give assurance on compliance and effectiveness of budget systems and controls
Prepare risk-based annual audit plans for approval by the Audit Committee
Undertake specific audit assignments
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Finance or Accounting option), Business Administration (Finance and Accounting option) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (Accounting/Finance Option) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
Registered with a professional body and a member of ICPAK and IIA or its equivalent, and in good standing
Professional courses such as CISA, CIA required
Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
Proficiency in computer applications
Experience
Minimum of eight (8) years relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have been in a Management position
