Kenya Airways Quality Assurance Engineer Jobs;To ensure regulatory requirements are upheld and that constant maintenance standards and organizational procedures are applied to KQ/Customer aircraft, delivering an airworthy, reliable, quality product in a cost‑effective manner.

Also responsible for maintaining an independent Quality System.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct planned and ad‑hoc audits, inspections, spot checks, and surveys under SQAE guidance; provide written reports

  • Assess audit data and communicate discrepancies to section heads with corrective actions and timelines

  • Follow up and verify audit closure actions; monitor effectiveness of corrective actions

  • Log reported occurrences into QA database, classify, and report to KCAA/EASA/Customer Authorities

  • Participate in incident investigations under SQAE guidance

  • Review authorization applications and participate in approval exams

  • Prepare, monitor, and update certifying staff records

  • Prepare applications and collect data for CoA, CoR, and radio license certificates issuance/renewal

  • Prepare QA airworthiness statistics and provide safety data to SQAE

  • Maintain databases for maintenance approvals and certifications from Civil Aviation Authorities and Airlines; initiate renewals

  • Process and avail aircraft documentation and certificates

  • Carry out other duties within the Quality Assurance Section as directed by Quality
    Manager or SQAE

    Skills

  • Effective communication skills

  • Basic audit process and root cause analysis skills

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering

  • Knowledge of standard aircraft manuals and engineering procedures

  • Conversant with regulatory requirements and technical procedures

  • Basic knowledge of aircraft systems

  • Graduate trainee program completion or equivalent

  • Relevant engineering degree with at least 3 years aviation engineering experience OR Diploma with 5 years aviation maintenance experience

  • Experience in report writing, industrial safety standards, and IT tools
