Kenya Airways Data Scientist Jobs;Kenya Airways is seeking a Data Scientist to advise the business on the potential of data, provide new insights into strategic initiatives, and create solutions that enhance business performance. The postholder will apply advanced statistical analysis, data mining and visualization techniques to generate actionable insights and support decision‑making.

Responsibilities

Model Development

  • Build econometric and statistical models for projections, classification, clustering, sampling and simulations.

  • Execute ad‑hoc data mining and exploration tasks on large datasets.

  • Generate actionable insights using predictive models, segmentation analysis and customer profiling.

    Innovation & Capability Building

  • Build state‑of‑the‑art scientific and technical capabilities within the Data, Analytics & AI department.

  • Provide forward‑thinking recommendations based on deep understanding of business data assets.

    Collaboration & Communication

  • Work with other data scientists to communicate findings and obstacles to stakeholders.

  • Improve decision‑making and drive business performance through data insights.

    Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure 100% adherence to policies, procedures and statutory guidelines.

  • Participate in project execution to meet scope, timelines and specifications.

  • Close audit issues within agreed timeframes.

    Stakeholder Engagement & Development

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure satisfaction.

  • Maintain up‑to‑date competency assessments and
    development plans.

    Requirements

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Economics or related quantitative field.

  • Big Data, Data Science or Gen.AI certification required.

    Experience

  • Minimum 3 years in business analysis/informatics and outcomes research.

  • Practical experience in Gen.AI and Agentic AI use cases desirable.

  • Expertise in probability, statistics, time‑series analysis and econometrics.

  • Experience with machine learning methods (linear regression, decision trees, etc.).

  • Strong knowledge of Python, AWS SageMaker and big data platforms.

    Skills

  • Creative thinking and self‑motivation.

  • Strategic perspective and analytical ability.

  • Ability to synthesize diverse data and recommend strategies.
