Kenya Airways Cyber Security Administrator - Analysis Jobs;The Cyber Security Administrator safeguards Kenya Airways’ information systems, digital assets, and supporting infrastructure through offensive security operations. The role involves penetration testing, red team simulations, adversary emulation, and vulnerability assessments to proactively identify weaknesses before malicious actors exploit them. The administrator must think like an attacker, adapt to evolving threats, and translate technical findings into actionable remediation guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and manage cybersecurity risks through offensive testing and defensive analysis.

  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and prioritize security investments.

  • Conduct penetration testing and adversary emulations to uncover vulnerabilities and validate controls.

  • Assess and recommend adequacy of security controls for airline systems.

  • Plan, scope, and execute penetration tests on networks, applications, APIs, mobile, cloud, and infrastructure.

  • Simulate advanced persistent threats (APTs) and real‑world attacks.

  • Conduct regular vulnerability scans across all systems.

  • Analyze and prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk and business impact.

  • Collect and interpret security data to identify threats and anomalies.

  • Develop custom security analytics models and algorithms.

  • Produce detailed penetration testing reports with findings and remediation guidance.

  • Present findings to technical teams and senior management.

  • Contribute to SIEM tuning and detection rule development.

  • Support incident response investigations with attacker‑perspective analysis.

  • Collaborate with Internal and External Audit consultants on security assessments.

  • Ensure all projects undergo security checks pre‑ and post‑go‑live.

  • Continuously test and validate existing security controls.

  • Respond to system and network breaches promptly.

  • Implement automation to strengthen security
    protocols.

  • Investigate breaches, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement improvements.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years’ advanced IT and information security experience.

  • Proven hands‑on experience in penetration testing, ethical hacking, and vulnerability assessments.

  • Experience with security tools, auditing processes, and risk assessments.

  • Proficiency in Linux commands, scripting, and Windows security controls.

  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols and attack vectors.

  • Industry certifications preferred: OSCP, OSWE, CEH, GPEN, GWAPT, CRTP, or equivalent.

  • Experience in forensic analysis and incident response.

  • Familiarity with standards and regulations: PCI DSS, NIST, ISO27001, GDPR, IOSA.

  • Ability to enforce security best practices in line with NIST.
