KenTrade Infrastructure Engineer Jobs in Kenya


KenTrade Infrastructure Engineer Jobs in Kenya; To support the implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and securing of the organization’s ICT infrastructure, ensuring availability, reliability, and optimal performance of power systems, data centers, networks, servers, cloud services, and related systems while supporting business operations and digital transformation initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, set up, and configure complex switching environments, wireless networks, firewalls, VPN concentrators, and security appliances for mission‑critical applications.

  • Maintain network security through proper configuration of VPN and firewalls.

  • Maintain LAN and associated components (switches, cabling, power provisioning) and both wired and wireless networks, ensuring performance, security, and upgrades.

  • Implement multi‑user environments including IP address schemes, DNS, WINS, Ether‑Channel.

  • Provide technical assistance and support to internal staff, vendors, and partner agencies.

  • Develop and implement upgrades by testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for implemented networks.

  • Ensure all infrastructure changes are performed to minimize service disruptions.

  • Track KenTrade’s infrastructure assets and ensure infrastructure and data security.

  • Ensure technology is used, managed, and supported in accordance with
    KenTrade standards, policies, and procedures.

    Minimum Academic, Professional Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in ICT, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

  • Professional Certification – CCNA.

  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure design, implementation, and support.

  • Meets provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
