Kenchic Limited Beef Plant Production Manager - Thika Processing Plant Jobs in Kenya; Kenchic Limited is seeking a Beef Plant Production Manager to oversee operations at the Thika Processing Plant. Reporting to the Factory Manager, the successful candidate will manage all aspects of beef production, ensuring productivity, cost efficiency, and compliance with food safety standards while maintaining a safe work environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in crafting departmental goals aligned to corporate strategy and monitor performance through KPIs.

  • Coordinate end‑to‑end processing of beef products according to set standards.

  • Review weekly and daily production plans, monitor execution, and track productivity per line per SKU.

  • Prepare annual budgets, allocate labor and resources, and coordinate production shifts to meet targets.

  • Ensure factory costs remain within budget.

  • Fulfill sales orders by matching production quantities to customer requirements.

  • Protect company assets and oversee efficient use of equipment and machinery.

  • Monitor performance, capacity utilization, and follow up on repairs and maintenance.

  • Liaise with the food safety team leader on audits and inspections, resolving issues raised.

  • Receive customer feedback, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.

  • Implement Kaizen initiatives in the Beef Plant.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety
    standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Lead, manage, and develop a high‑performing team.

    Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology or other relevant field.

  • Minimum of 6 years’ work experience in food processing, with at least 4 years in management roles, specifically in meat processing.

  • Experience in managing teams.

  • Demonstrable commercial awareness.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience in ERP systems is desirable.
