KEMSA Deputy Director, Resource Mobilization - Jobs in Kenya



Job Purpose

Reporting to the Director Partnership and Resource Mobilization, the successful candidate will be responsible to spearhead and enhance resource mobilization ventures from government and various development partners and agencies.


Scope of Work /Duties /Responsibilities
  • Development of resource mobilization strategies;
  • Developing funding proposals for resource mobilization and drafting of documents;
  • Developing and updating donor and development partners database and funded projects and programmes;
  • Assessing and evaluating various externally funded projects and programs;
  • Preparing reports on funding and resource mobilization activities and programmes.
  • Develop and implement the social enterprise strategy to diversify revenue streams.
  • Mobilizing financial and non-financial resources from private sectors entities, individuals, and corporate agencies
  • Monitor donor reporting and grant expenditure deadlines;
  • Providing input in the development and implementation of mobilization policies and strategies for sourcing of funds from individuals, bilateral, multi- lateral, and private organizations;
  • Reviewing and analyzing the partnership database for policy decisions;


    Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following Marketing, Planning, Economics, Commerce, or other business/ Health related field from a recognized institution;
  • A Master’s Degree in any of the following disciplines Business Management, Marketing, Planning, Economics, Commerce, or other business/ Health related field from a recognized institution
  • Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
  • Be a member of a relevant professional body in good standing where applicable;
  • Proficiency in use of MS Office applications and ERP platform; and
  • Met the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution;
  • Demonstrated experience in securing funds for development organizations from the global community, donors and the private sector;


    Experience
  • A minimum period of ten (10) in relevant work experience and at least three (3) in a supervisory position in the Public Service or Private Sector;
