KEMRI Pharmaceutical Technologist – Kisumu Jobs in Kenya


KEMRI Pharmaceutical Technologist – Kisumu Jobs in Kenya;The Pharmaceutical Technologist will support clinical trial activities by dispensing study products, maintaining pharmacy records, counseling participants, and ensuring compliance with study protocols, SOPs, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP). The role also involves QA/QC of study documentation, randomization processes, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Dispensing & Documentation

  • Administer Case Report Forms (CRFs) and resolve queries.

  • Dispense drugs and study products to participants.

  • Ensure prescription drugs are available for dispensing.

  • Maintain pharmacy temperature and humidity logs.

  • Record dispensed drugs and study products in pharmacy logs, accountability logs, and databases.

    Participant Support

  • Counsel participants on adherence to study products.

  • Support randomization process in liaison with data and clinic teams.

  • Establish and maintain good relationships with participants to foster retention.

    Quality Assurance & Collaboration

  • Participate in QA/QC activities for CRFs, source documents, and laboratory data.

  • Update and maintain laboratory specimen database with accurate results.

  • Serve as QA/QC point person at the laboratory level.

  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure study success.

    Other Duties

  • Perform additional study‑related tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications

  • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology (Mandatory).

  • Registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (Mandatory).

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a registered pharmaceutical technologist (Mandatory).

  • Knowledge of HIV prevention and treatment services (Mandatory).

  • Computer literacy.
