KEDA Kenya Ceramics Company Limited Coosks Jobs in Kenya; KEDA Kenya Ceramics Company Limited is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook high‑quality, safe, and well‑presented meals in accordance with approved recipes, menus, and food safety standards. The role ensures efficient day‑to‑day kitchen operations in a busy working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook authentic Chinese and other assigned dishes according to established recipes.

Carry out food preparation activities including washing, peeling, cutting, marinating, seasoning, and portioning.

Operate kitchen equipment such as woks, burners, ovens, steamers, and fryers safely and efficiently.

Ensure meals are prepared and served on time and in required quantities.

Maintain consistent standards of taste, quality, portion size, and presentation.

Monitor food quality and ensure raw materials are fresh and properly stored.

Follow food handling, hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of kitchen, equipment, and storage areas.

Ensure cooked food is properly covered, stored, and labelled to prevent contamination.

Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth preparation and timely service.

Set up dining/serving areas before meal service.

Comply with company health, safety, and operational procedures.

Perform other duties related to kitchen and catering operations as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Food Production, Culinary Arts, or related field.

1–3 years’ experience as a Cook in hotel, restaurant, catering, or institutional kitchen.

Practical experience in Chinese cuisine an added advantage.

Ability to prepare a variety of dishes while maintaining consistent quality.

Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation.

Good teamwork, communication, organization, and time‑management skills.

Physically fit and able to work in a demanding kitchen environment.
