KCB Bank Senior Sourcing Category Manager Jobs in Kenya

Key Responsibilities

Manage self and assigned team of sourcing managers and specialists

Develop and execute annual category management plan and budget within approved limits

Develop and maintain business continuity plans, risk management, compliance, and regulatory controls for the category

Manage relationships and engagement with key stakeholders (Heads of Departments, Subsidiaries, Suppliers, Contractors, Consultants, Divisional Directors, Tender Committee, Executive Committees)

Implement standards, controls, processes, and regulatory procedures for the category

Implement cost management programs and strategically negotiate contracts to deliver optimal outcomes

Manage supplier contract calendar, review expiries, inclusions, retirements, and cancellations

Monitor and review supplier performance, service level agreements, and hold review meetings

Review and analyze industry trends and devise long-term strategies for category decision-making

Minimum Position Qualification Requirements

Academic & Professional

Bachelor’s degree in Business Related/Social Sciences (Required)

Master’s degree in MBA/Business Related (Added Advantage)

Member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) with valid Practicing License (Required)

Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent (Added Advantage)

Experience

Minimum 7 years’ experience in procurement and supply chain management

Procurement Strategy Management (development & implementation) – 5 years (Essential)

Logistics – 3 years (Essential)

Commercial Experience (negotiation, market analysis & knowledge) – 5 years (Essential)

Stakeholder Management – 5 years (Essential)
