KCB Bank Relationship Manager – Mining Jobs in Kenya



Main Duties & Responsibilities

Strategy Implementation

  • Implement sector strategy in line with overall sector strategy

  • Deliver on annual business growth targets (Revenue, Fees, Commissions, Profit Before Tax, Assets, Liabilities, Customer Numbers)

  • Drive sustainable growth through innovative and customized financial solutions

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of client strategy, business, financial performance, industry outlook/trends, and macroeconomic issues

    Sales and Business Development

  • Execute client deals in line with strategic client plans

  • Collaborate with business partners (Sectors, Product Management, Bancassurance, Capital, etc.) to drive sales growth

  • Ensure strong cross-selling of products to existing and new clients

  • Manage balance sheet and income statement linkages through margin management

  • Implement and control pricing tactics in line with policy and financial targets

  • Drive non-financial performance (customer acquisition, Net Promoter Score, segmentation accuracy)

    Client and Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Champion consistent and trusted customer service for retention and loyalty

  • Maintain and deepen client relationships at appropriate levels

  • Manage relationships with key sector customers and stakeholders

  • Develop critical relationships with client decision makers and communicate commercial opportunities

  • Collaborate with internal teams (credit, legal, operations, technical specialists) for integrated solutions

  • Engage external stakeholders (regulators, suppliers, industry associations)

    Client Portfolio Management

  • Manage and monitor a portfolio of mining clients for profitability and sustainability

  • Track performance metrics (revenue growth, client retention, risk exposure)

  • Monitor
    daily referrals to ensure facilities are within approved parameters

  • Exercise discretion regarding account conduct based on client activities

  • Prepare reports on client performance, business development, and portfolio health

    Risk Management

  • Ensure timely submission of quality credit proposals in line with policy

  • Maintain portfolio quality within NPL and PAR parameters

  • Manage monitoring, controls, governance, and risk environment

  • Ensure accurate interest rates, approved limits, and remedial actions

  • Ensure compliance with Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
