KCB Bank Information Risk Manager Jobs in Kenya
Key Responsibilities
Carry out reviews along project lifecycles to ensure delivered systems comply with the bank’s Project Management framework.
Provide guidance in resolving IS audit findings and lead development of reports and corrective action plans.
Guide resumption and recovery of time‑sensitive business operations within pre‑established timeframes, ensuring adequate plans for less time‑sensitive operations.
Develop and implement Risk Management policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines based on COBIT, ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, ITIL, and other relevant benchmarks.
Review and recommend security enhancements for network design and firewall policies.
Manage incidents and complaints related to ICT services.
Ensure effective change management processes in liaison with IT.
Review and evaluate system backup and disaster recovery standards, supporting ICT for quick recovery in case of disaster.
Review Business Continuity Programme for effectiveness and completeness, recommending appropriate actions.
Review system security configurations and recommend appropriate settings.
Additional Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of Information Risk Managers and Analysts.
Conduct comprehensive reviews and provide independent assurance on projects, cybersecurity, and governance initiatives.
Offer recommendations to enhance information systems and ICT infrastructure.
Ensure data and systems are secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
Stay updated with emerging technologies, identifying risks and opportunities.
Collaborate with departments to provide tailored risk solutions.
Develop and implement risk assessment frameworks and methodologies.
Prepare and present risk reports to senior management.
Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships internally and externally.
Contribute to the bank’s overall risk management
strategy by integrating industry best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in information risk management, with proven team leadership.
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of information security principles, risk assessment methodologies, and industry standards.
Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
Analytical mindset with problem‑solving approach.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple projects independently and deliver on time.
Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration.
Proactive and innovative mindset to enhance risk management practices.
