KCB Bank Head of Brokerage Jobs in Kenya;KCB Bank Kenya is seeking to recruit a Head of Brokerage to lead the development and growth of its brokerage business. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving strategy, maintaining market leadership, and expanding services to institutional investors, corporate clients, and high‑net‑worth individuals.

Main Function
Responsible for implementing brokerage strategies, achieving business targets, managing operations, and ensuring compliance while leading and inspiring the brokerage team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement long‑ and short‑term strategies for the brokerage business, including business plans and annual budgets.

  • Achieve business targets in terms of volumes, market share, and profits across all segments.

  • Maintain the Bank’s leadership position in brokerage by ensuring continuous growth.

  • Plan and implement expansion of brokerage services to foreign/domestic institutions, corporate bodies, and HNW individuals.

  • Act as the primary contact for foreign institutional investors and build a strong customer base.

  • Lead development of new service delivery channels and strategic tie‑ups.

  • Leverage synergies from cross‑border investments and spearhead regional expansion.

  • Maintain and develop excellent relationships with key customers.

  • Formulate and review training programs and ongoing product refreshers for the brokerage team.

  • Ensure compliance with Bank policies, standards, and statutory regulations.

  • Lead, manage, coach, and inspire direct and indirect reporting teams.

    Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized and accredited institution.

  • Professional certification such as ATS, CISI, ICIFA, CPA, ACSI, or equivalent.

  • At least eight (8) years of relevant professional experience in financial services, brokerage, capital markets, or related sector.

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in brokerage operations, securities trading, or capital markets activities.

  • At least five (5) years’ experience managing brokerage trading operations, operational risk, and credit exposure.

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ leadership or people management experience with proven ability to lead high‑performing teams.
