KCB Bank Applications Support Engineer Jobs in Kenya

Key Responsibilities

Manage and participate in development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for assigned programs

Recommend, develop, and administer policies and procedures; recommend appropriate service and staffing levels

Implement system changes through automation, process changes, management solutions, and training

Conduct diagnostic investigations of system errors and implement/recommend solutions

Consult with vendors regarding system functionality

Prepare documentation including project reports, process/user manuals, presentations, strategic and technical plans

Develop risk management procedures, business continuance scenarios, contingency and disaster recovery plans

Identify critical points of failure and recommend mitigation strategies

Research, develop, and implement testing methods and procedures to ensure product quality

Monitor and report on defects; review proposed systems software for compliance with quality assurance standards

Minimum Position Qualification Requirements

Academic & Professional

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT/Information Systems or related field (Required)

Master’s degree in Management/IT (Added Advantage)

Professional certifications: Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, ITIL, Linux Administration, Database Management

Experience

Minimum 2 years in applications technical support, banking systems, and information systems analysis

Knowledge of operating systems in banking applications

Experience in application software installation, support, and troubleshooting

Understanding of budgeting, contracting, purchasing practices

Knowledge of quality assurance, security, project management, and industry (banking) practices
