KCA University Trainer – Criminology & Criminal Justice System Jobs in Kenya



KCA University Trainer – Criminology & Criminal Justice System Jobs in Kenya;The Trainer will facilitate teaching and training in Criminology & Criminal Justice System, supporting learner development and contributing to the continuous improvement of professional and technical programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate learning through trainings, seminars, workshops, tutorials, and other assigned tasks.

  • Participate in exam development, administration, marking, and continuous assessment.

  • Contribute to academic policy development and implementation.

  • Develop learning materials, schemes of work, and maintain student progress records.

  • Undertake research to inform curriculum review and validation of learning resources.

  • Manage requisition and inventories of tools, equipment, and learning resources.

  • Provide guidance, feedback, and referrals to support student progress.

  • Supervise and assist students in practical work.

  • Contribute to departmental seminars and interdisciplinary collaboration.

  • Nurture creativity and innovation through contests, trade fairs, and projects.

  • Create industry linkages to support experiential learning and attachments.

  • Participate in departmental, institute, and University‑wide meetings and committees.

  • Undertake continuous professional development and staff training activities.

  • Maintain proper records of examinations, assignments, and assessments in the system.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in
    Criminology & Criminal Justice System or related discipline from a recognized institution.

  • Registered Trainer with Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA).

  • At least 2 years’ teaching experience at tertiary level or 3 years’ industry‑based experience.

  • Certificate in Trainer of Trainers course required.

  • Professional qualification or affiliation with a professional association an added advantage.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent presentation skills.

  • Critical thinking and problem‑solving ability.

  • Time management and attention to detail.
