Duties and Responsibilities

Processing of purchase requisition;

Assisting users in preparing specifications;

Inviting quotations;

Participating in tender opening and evaluation;

Carrying out market surveys and research;

Participating in quotation opening and evaluation;

Processing of purchase orders and expedite process;

Participating in inspection and acceptance of goods and services;

Receiving of stores and taking them on charge;

Recommending stores requisition for issuing;

Monitoring the movement of stores;

Checking and verifying issue notes and invoices;

Receiving and processing supplier’s invoice’s for payment;

Preparing of periodic stores returns;

Establishing appropriate re-order level;

Preparing of requisitions for stock replenishment;

Participating in stock taking and reconciliation of records;

Guiding user departments in identifying stores and equipment for disposal;

Supervising Warehouses and distribution management; and

Complying with the Procurement Act.

Job Requirements

Must have served as a Supply Chain Assistant or/in a comparable position for a minimum period of three (3) years;

Bachelor’s degree in any the following disciplines: Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Supplies Management, Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Contract
Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

Certificate in Computer applications from a recognized institution.

Good record management skills;

High Integrity;

Good communication and interpersonal skills;and

Fulfill requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
