Duties

Will be responsible for:

• Installing Oracle software and Maintenance.

• Day to Day Database administration and Creating Oracle databases.

• Starting up and shutting down the database.

• Proactively monitoring the database’s health and taking preventive or corrective action as required

• Monitoring the database’s storage structures and Files system.

• Managing users and security.

• Troubleshooting, Database Tuning, Performance Monitoring, Capacity Planning

• Authentication, Security, Database Backup and Recovery, Specialized Data Handling

• Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading.

• Managing schema objects, such as tables, indexes, and views.

• Responsible for monitoring database backups and performing recovery when necessary.

• Must have knowledge of Data guard.

• Ability to work independently and proactively.

• Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

Applicant should be holder of any of the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred in Information Technology OR Computer Science

Experience

An ideal candidate should have at least minimum 3 years experience in a similar working environment, with a thorough knowledge of Oracle Database and Operating system such as Solaris/Linux.
