Job DescriptionKAKI PLC is an official dealer and assembler of ISUZU in Ethiopia.
It is also engaged in different business lines including import, export, metal fabrication, after sales services, and cargo freight transport operations.
General Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares drawings and designs to manufacture body of van, bus, trailer, FSR cargo body, NPR extension body work. Determines quantity of raw materials required based on drawings.
Ensures that the size and quality of sample of finished product meets the technical specifications. Keeps drawings and soft copies of designs properly.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, lead, coordinate, organize, oversee, direct and supervise the product development process for new product and overall engineering activities.
Prepare design (carry-out engineering analysis) required to produce different mechanical products specifically related to different trailers/trucks body, bus, van, and automotive parts.
Prepare design outputs; such as, workshop and assembly drawings, material utilization drawings, bill of material, bill of quantity, product specification and input material specification.
Organize the engineering team, check and approve designs prepared by the team/subordinates/.
Ensuring that the size and quality of sample of finished products meet the technical specifications.
Prepares modification of drawings
based on customer requests;
Prepare manufacturing method /process/.
Keeps design and records properly on hard and soft copies.
Prepare engineering cost estimate for products.
Prepares bid documents.
Use design and drafting software.
Collaborate with clients, staff and contractors to discuss and resolve problems.
Prepare in house training to subordinates.
Prepared and submit periodical performance report.
Performs other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Job Requirements
Qualification
M.Sc. Degree or B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Design Stream), Drawing Technology or related field of studies
Work Experience
5 year for M.Sc. Degree or 7 years for B.Sc. Degree relevant work experience
Required Competence
Experienced in using Solid Work, Auto Cad, CATIA, ANSYS and other drawing software applications
