    KNP/2022/1: Manager, Human Resource Management (1 post)

    Terms of Service: KNP/4 (Permanent)

    Salary Scale KShs: 87,360 × 3,190 - 90,550 × 4,190 – 95,040 × 4,860 - 99,900 × 50,010 – 104,910 ×
    5,240 – 110,150 × 5,500- 115,650 × 5,780 - 121,430 p.m.

    House Allowance: As applicable in Nairobi County

    a) Duties and Responsibilities

    Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: -

  • Overseeing the development and implementation of human resource management and administration strategies, policies, guidelines and programmes/work plans.

  • Establishing and managing an efficient and effective, professional and sustainable human resource management system.

  • Coordinating training and human resource development activities for the Polytechnic.

  • Overseeing the development of training projections and plans.

  • Organizing the validation and authentication of academic and professional certificates for polytechnic staff in liaison with the relevant institutions.

  • Overseeing and managing performance management and incentive systems.

  • Analyzing the utilization of human resource in the Polytechnic and advising on proper deployment.

  • Coordinating, monitoring and evaluating staff training and development programmes; ensuring implementation of computerized human resource
    management infrastructure.

  • Coordinating staff office accommodation.

  • Managing industrial relations issues.

    b) Requirements for Appointment

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

  • Served in the equivalent KNP/5 grade of an Assistant Manager, Human Resource Management
    Officer for a minimum period of four (4) years.

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Human Capital Management/Human Resource Management, Public, Administration/ Business Management or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

  • Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Human Capital Management/Human Resource Management, Public Administration /Business Management or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.

  • Membership to a professional body such as IPM, KIM, IPS, IHRM, AAPAM, KAPAM
    or any other recognized professional body/association.

  • Proficiency in computer use and application.

  • Demonstrated professional competence and administrative capabilities as reflected
    in work performance and results.
