Key Performance Areas:
  • Lead the strategy and project manage all initiatives related to Logistics
  • Design and own end-to-end the Logistics unit costs strategy to meet unit economics targets
  • Manage the end-to-end (deliveries and returns) lead times in line with defined SLAs
  • Manage 3PL service providers in line with agreed SLAs, KPIs and costs
  • Manage the logistics network, processes and teams; and expand service offerings, improve own fleet management practices and cost of operation
  • Manage the Market-place hubs and teams to meet agreed SLA targets
  • Optimise and lead key transformations in the Logistics supply-chain
  • Manage the talent pool within the Logistics department and build a strong leadership team
  • Leading the scale up and expansion of last mile foot-print (3PL expansion, pick up station expansion, Delivery Associates hiring and expansion).
  • Actively feed and contribute to the system roadmap design to deliver the required instruments for this logistics

  • Actively design and steer Customer and Vendor excellence projects along with Local and
  • Central operations leaders

    Education, skills, behaviour and knowledge required:
  • Relevant Tertiary Education
  • 5 years minimum experience in logistics operations with a good knowledge of the local market
  • At least 3 years within an E-commerce logistics/operations environment
  • Experience in complex network management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Email, Internet etc.
  • Proficient in Google Office Suite – Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Gmail, etc.
  • Experience of supply chain management and transportation concepts: forecasting, planning, optimization, logistics, delivery performance, carrier negotiation, inventory management, SOP.
  • Process oriented, well-organized with a high level of attention to detail
  • Dynamic and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have the ability to work independently and solve problems on orders by partnering with key stakeholders and analyzing the order file to make accurate decisions on execution.
  • Able to follow defined processes and relay information to Specialists, Order Management partners as well to make day-to-day order management decisions regarding allocation and delivery of the product.
  • Strong relationship-building skills; ability to create trust among those with diverse personal styles.
