    Job description

  • As Campaign Manager you are a key member of the marketing team. The role involves everything from managing the overall campaign calendar for the Jumia and Jumia Food Uganda, execution and development of the campaign strategy, end to end delivery of campaigns, measurement and analytics to ensure progress against target.

  • ​You will be working closely with our central campaign team on building the campaign plan (PMO) while ensuring involving the local stakeholders such as the marketing channel owners, and the commercial team.

  • In your day-to-day work you will be liaising with marketing channel owners as well as the commercial team to ensure that the campaign plan is followed as well as to implement any steering actions needed to improve performance.

  • You will further work with the commercial team and the Head of Jumia Advertising to ensure that we deliver what has been promised to our campaign partners. This entails planning for visibility across the site/app, CRM, social media and more, as well as following up and reporting of results
    to respective partnership owner.

    Your responsibilities will include

  • Devise B2C (business to consumer) weekly marketing campaigns with the aim of acquiring and retaining customers.

  • Work closely with marketing channels owners to ensure the campaign plan is executed as per plan.

  • Plan, manage and evaluate four Tier 1 campaigns in a year.

  • Manage the procedure, implementation, tracking and measurement of marketing campaigns.

  • Support marketing team in briefing, and oversee the work of internal and external agencies, such as designers, animators and printers, who will deliver much of the campaign activity.

  • Write, edit and proofread copy for promotional materials within marketing campaigns.

  • Deliver regular reports of campaign results, including web analysis and evaluation of KPIs.

  • Collect and use data to inform new campaigns and the evaluation of existing campaigns.

  • Keep abreast of current trends in marketing and benchmark with other Jumia markets and competitors.

  • Actively engage with and understand the requirements of each business unit and collaboratively develop plans to support them.

  • Work with the regional marketing team to localise campaigns where needed.

  • Collaborate and build campaigns with brand partners.

    Required Skills:

    Desired Background and experience:

  • ​Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from top business schools and universities.

  • ​More than 5 years of professional experience in campaign/marketing management.

  • ​Outstanding understanding of e-marketing and delivery of business transformation.

  • ​Evidence of working to strict deadlines on multiple projects; independently or within a team.

  • Coaching and development of members of the team.

    Expected personal skills:

  • Organized and detail oriented.

  • Good communicator and high emotional intelligence.

  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, being agile.

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in teams.

  • Data oriented, analytical.

  • English speaking.
