Constitutional and Statutory Requirements for Appointment
Pursuant to Section 39A (1)(a) of the Political Parties Act, No.11 of 2011, a person to be appointed as an Adhoc Member of the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal – Advocate must possess the following qualifications:
Hold a Bachelor of Laws degree from a recognized university.
Have a post‑graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law or from a recognized institution.
Have at least seven (7) years of post‑admission experience.
Must not be a public officer or hold office in a political party.
Qualification and experience in alternative dispute resolution will be an added advantage.
Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on leadership and integrity.
