Jubilee Insurance Officer - Premium Administration Jobs in Kenya; The Officer – Premium Administration will be responsible for the accurate, timely, and efficient administration of premium collections, allocations, reconciliations, and policy servicing activities. The role ensures the integrity of premium data, supports operational excellence through process optimization and data‑driven insights, maintains compliance with regulatory and governance requirements, and delivers exceptional service to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Premium Administration & Policy Servicing

  • Process premium receipts, contributions, transfers, refunds, reinstatements, policy amendments, and other transactions within agreed turnaround times.

  • Ensure timely and accurate allocation of premiums to policies and investment funds.

  • Monitor collections and follow up on outstanding premiums and arrears.

  • Coordinate with New Business, Customer Experience, Claims, and Distribution teams for accurate schedules and updates.

  • Manage Direct Debit Authority (DDA) mandates and Salary Deduction Advices.

  • Support policy servicing activities while maintaining customer satisfaction.

    Financial Reconciliation & Controls

  • Perform daily reconciliation of collections against bank statements and systems.

  • Investigate and resolve unmatched or suspense premiums.

  • Liaise with Finance, banks, agents, brokers, and clients to resolve discrepancies.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

  • Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end reconciliation activities.

    Customer & Stakeholder Service

  • Respond to customer and intermediary enquiries within SLAs.

  • Provide accurate information on payments, balances, and policy status.

  • Build effective relationships with policyholders, intermediaries, and internal teams.

  • Escalate complex issues appropriately while ensuring timely resolution.

  • Share regular reports on mandates and deduction orders.

    Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and turnaround times.

  • Participate in automation and digital transformation initiatives.

  • Recommend improvements to reduce risk and manual intervention.

  • Maintain compliance with operational procedures and quality standards.

    Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyse collection trends, arrears, and lapses to identify risks and opportunities.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports.

  • Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and metrics to support decision‑making.

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of premium administration data.

  • Support audits, regulatory reporting, and management reporting.

    Corporate Governance

  • Ensure compliance with insurance regulations, AML, Data Privacy, and KYC requirements.

  • Identify operational risks
    and recommend mitigation measures.

  • Support audits with documentation and implement recommendations.

  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of customer and company information.

    People & Culture

    Functional Skills

  • Knowledge of actuarial modelling tools (e.g., Prophet) – advantage.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Strong data analysis and statistical interpretation capability.

  • Knowledge of life insurance pricing methodologies.

  • Familiarity with IFRS 17 reporting frameworks.

  • Risk assessment and scenario modelling skills.

  • Basic understanding of reinsurance structures.

  • Exposure to data analytics tools/programming (R, Python, SQL) – advantage.

    Academic Background & Relevant Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Business, or related field.

  • Diploma in Insurance, LOMA, CII, IIK, or equivalent qualification – advantage.

  • 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Experience in premium processing, allocation, policy servicing, and reconciliations.

  • Proven ability to analyse operational data and prepare reports.

  • Experience handling customer and intermediary enquiries within SLAs.
