Jubilee Insurance Accountant Jobs in Kenya;The role holder will support accurate and timely accounting and financial reporting of Jubilee Life Insurance Limited under IFRS 17. Responsibilities include effective reconciliations, controls, disclosures and reporting, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Academic Background & Relevant Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration or related field.

  • Professional accounting qualification such as CPA‑K, ACCA or equivalent.

  • Membership of ICPAK or equivalent professional body in good standing is an advantage.

  • Additional training or certification in IFRS 17, insurance accounting or financial reporting preferred.

    Experience

  • 2 – 4 years’ relevant experience in finance, accounting or financial reporting.

  • Experience in insurance or financial services, preferably life insurance.

  • Practical experience in IFRS 17 accounting, reporting or implementation highly desirable.

  • Experience in financial close, reconciliations, statement preparation and regulatory reporting.

  • Experience working with actuarial, finance systems or cross‑functional teams is an advantage.

  • Experience with ERP / General Ledger systems and advanced Excel skills.

  • Experience supporting audits and responding to reporting queries.

  • Experience in IFRS 17 system implementation, UAT, data validation or reporting process enhancement is an advantage.
