JSE Finance Manager & Statutory Jobs in South Africa


  • To ensure and implement excellent accounting procedures, control and statutory IFRS complaint reporting whilst acting in strong partnership with the Commercial and Treasury teams (for the JSE Group)

    Job description

  • Participate in crafting financial management procedures to ensure quality of delivery on time

  • Apply cost effectiveness principles in planning and delivery to contribute to achievement of divisional financial targets;

  • Ensure all financial transactions are concluded by executing and reviewing financial month end close, as required by JSE Listing requirements, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal reporting deadlines and requirements;

  • Organise feedback sessions after an event to correct future work standards

  • Work with urgency and accuracy collaboratively to meet statutory compliance requirements

  • Conduct root cause analysis when reconciling items occur and apply appropriate solution

  • Provide input into the formalisation for the divisional budget

  • Urge the financial and reporting team to capture GL entries to ensure deadlines are met Review month on month and year on year budget figures in the IDU system, flag variances and feed information to Commercial team

  • Contribute to crafting of annual Finance division business plan to ensure delivery of focus areas in support of the Finance strate

  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key contacts in Finance and the supported business players

    Minimum requirements

    Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 (Essential)

  • BCom Degree in Accounting (Essential)

  • CA (SA) (Preferred)

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Financial
    Accounting role
